QUEER HISTORY AS CULTURAL POWER

At Badge Of Pride—a Dallas-based, queer-led organization—we steward a nationally significant LGBTQ+ artifact collection, reclaiming Queer narratives and positioning them as engines of civic understanding and cultural change.

With an archive of more than 10,000 objects—spanning resistance, creativity, daily life, and collective struggle—we move far past preservation. We build landmark exhibitions, performances, and programs that activate history, deepen public dialogue, and bring LGBTQ+ stories into view with depth, rigor, and heart.

This isn’t a collection. It’s a catalyst.

OUR VISION

We envision a world where LGBTQ+ history informs public life, strengthens civic participation, and fuels the cultural imagination needed for global progress.

DEFINING PRIDE

Pride is the collective expression of confidence, self-respect, and shared identity by communities that have faced social, institutional, and legal marginalization. It signals dignity in public, visibility without apology, and solidarity shaped through generations of resistance and possibility.

This definition animates every aspect of our work.
